Clash Royale has lost its player-base due to pay-to-win mechanics & getting World Cup tickets are only based on luck and how much you’re willing to pay. We're hijacking the World Cup and pay-to-win tactics by giving away free World Cup finals tickets for all. Can you defend yours?
Pay to Win has dominated Clash Royale’s Fanbase. The game has become impossible to play competitively if you don’t pay to win. OG players are walking away.
In addition, World cup tickets have skyrocketed in price, and are virtually impossible to get.
Introducing the Clash Cup. A series of regional tournaments focused on one thing: winning with skill.
We sent out invites for World Cup fans to claim their free World Cup ticket at Clash Royale designated tailgates.

We reached back out to OG players, sneaking into tournaments, and making fun of one of the greatest players, to bring attention to the campaign.
We created a meme generator that let fans turn the world’s biggest soccer star into memes, keeping the Clash Cup conversation alive beyond the pitch and deep into culture. 

TAILGATES

Tailgates ran alongside 11 Clash Cup Tournaments, turning into the ultimate Clash Cup hub. New players battled for World Cup seats while OGs got an epic Clash Royale experience. Only for app users, with free food, live music, prizes, and giant TVs.
Players went 1v1 in the Clash Royale app to defend their World Cup ticket. Win and move on. Lose and it’s gone. Everyone used the same deck, so skill was all that mattered.
The Clash Cup Regional winners got shown off to the world and their favorite players, and a specially branded World Cup ticket.
We announced the Clash Cup winner at halftime of the World Cup Final match in front of the entire world.
